Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Specialty chemical company
Specific Skills: Monitor and optimize physical and chemical process for several processing units, Adjust equipment, valves, pumps and controls and process equipment, Shut down, isolate and prepare process units or production equipment for maintenance, Sample products, perform tests and record data, Provide emergency response when required, Rotate between different processing units during shift cycles
Additional Skills: Participate in safety audits and programs
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking
